Deal or No Deal
Have you heard of the internationally popular game show Deal or No Deal? It’s coming to our shore! From what I’ve read, our country shall have 2 versions, one in English and one in Mandarin.

Initially I didn’t quite catch what the game was about just by viewing the preview shown in TV. But after playing the online version of Deal or No Deal, it became clear to me how the game was to be played. Now I understand why it is such an exciting and suspenseful game, because one gets the opportunity to win cold hard cash!! A lot of it too, depends on your luck and how well you play the game.

The online version of Deal or No Deal comes from Winzy.com and is free, but of course there are no prizes to win. Winzy is actually a search engine where you can win free prizes. Every time you use Winzy to search, you'll earn chances to play fun games like Winzy Secret Suitcase, which is very similar to Deal or No Deal, for real prizes like iPod Shuffles, iPod Nanos, Wii's, Xboxes, Amazon Gift Certificates and etc.

Hop on over to play the game and win some great prizes. I’m going there now ;)

An offer
I'd received an offer of a position in another department in the company this morning, and had just responded to accept the offer.

Why am I not thrilled? Is it because I am in this position and in the same department for too long that I've grown complacent? That I'm somewhat hesitant to step out of my comfort zone? Fear of unknown or how the new manager will be? Fear of not able to meet new expectations/challenges? Sigh... I've said it all.

But... Change IS the only constant. Embrace it. Taking up new challenges is the only way to grow. *keep telling self*

Don't be mistaken; I am still happy to get that offer. Being offered a job is always a confidence booster. It simply means my skills and experiences are still relevant. An assurance that I am still wanted.

I know I've made the right decision to accept the offer for career growth's sake. Guess I am nervous about the change. Afterall, I've been in my present job for 6 long donkey years...

Invest in Gold
Just this past weekend, I went to the goldsmith shop to have my earrings fixed because one side of it had broken. While we were there, of course we checked out the gold price. The precious metal is now priced at RM71++ per gram! @.@

Whoa! That’s appreciation of almost 100% compared to 8 years ago (the time when I got married)! Now if I’d invested in gold bars then, I’d be smiling all the way to the bank!!

With the current low interest rates, and plunging KLSE index, I think maybe it’s better to invest in precious metal instead. I foresee the demand for precious metals can only go up; so for long term investments,
gold investing is a pretty safe bet.

If only I have some a lot of spare cash, I’d really want to buy a few gold bars for keeps. :P
